WhatMatters ("we," "us," or "our") operates PerchHQ (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information You Provide

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password
  • Creator Profile Information: Content niche, social media platform(s), follower count, engagement rate, content style, collaboration preferences, and goals
  • Usage Data: Brands you view, pitches you generate, and pipeline activity

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
  • Log Data: Access times, pages viewed, app crashes, and other system activity
  • Analytics Data: How you interact with features within the App

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Generate personalized AI-powered pitch emails based on your creator profile
  • Enable you to track and manage your brand outreach pipeline
  • Process transactions and manage your subscription
  • Send you updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our services
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. AI-Generated Content

Our App uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized pitch emails. When you use this feature:

  • Your creator profile information is sent to our AI service provider (Google Gemini) to generate content
  • We do not use your data to train AI models
  • Generated pitches are created for your personal use in contacting brands

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication
  • Google Gemini: AI pitch generation
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management
  • Google AdMob: Advertising (free tier)
  • Apple: App distribution and payments

These providers may have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.

5. Advertising

If you use the free tier of the App, we display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to provide personalized ads, including:

  • Device identifiers
  • IP address
  • General location (city/region level)
  • App usage data

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the App settings.

Upon account deletion:

  • Your profile information will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Secure authentication protocols
  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Sending you a notification for material changes

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
